PG Rated Movies
PG means “Parental Guidance.” It’s a gentle suggestion that adults consider some of the broader types of content that might be featured in a particular film before letting their kids go see it.
Although movies with PG ratings rarely contain extreme violence, suggestive themes, or coarse language, every movie is different. That’s why there’s a rectangular box directly to the right of each MPAA rating that sheds some—albeit still generic—light on what the picture might include, content-wise. The movie Elf (2003) is rated PG for “some mild rude humor and language,” for example.
