Any adult reading this knows what to expect from THE MIGHTY MOVIE, more or less. The trailer is more useful as an indication of whether or not the PAW PATROL sequel is appropriate for your kids.
The Story in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie
For a story recap, let's go straight to the studio's synopsis: “When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! For Skye, the smallest member of the team, her new powers are a dream come true. But things take a turn for the worse when the pups' archrival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with a mad scientist to steal the superpowers for the two villains. With the fate of Adventure City hanging in the balance, the Mighty Pups have to stop the supervillains before it's too late, and Skye will need to learn that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.”
The Voice Cast of The Mighty Movie
We're going to break this up into two sections, to cover returning actors and those playing new characters, and then we'll get to the new voices who play familiar characters in the movie.
First up, Marsai Martin returns as the dachshund Liberty, and Kim Kardashian returns as the poodle Delores. (Kardashian's children, North West and Saint West, also have roles.) Chris Rock plays a Kitten Catastrophe Crew member, and James Marsden, Kristen Bell, Lil Rel Howery, Serena Williams, Alan Kim, and Brice Gonzalez all appear, too.
Taraji P. Henson voices the villain Victoria "Vee" Vance, and Ron Pardo returns as Adventure Bay's former head honcho Mayor Humdinger, and also Cap'n Turbot. Kim Roberts also reprises the role of Adventure Bay Mayor Goodway.
New Voice Actors in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie
A few voice actors have been changed for THE MIGHTY MOVIE, and since your kids will probably notice the changes it's good to be prepared!
One of the main characters is the cockapoo Skye, and she's got a new voice actor here. Mckenna Grace replaces Lilly Bartlam, who voiced Skye in both the series and the first movie. Likewise, Christian Convery steps in as Chase, becoming the latest in a long line of actors to voice the character.
Additionally, Luxton Handspiker is the new voice of bulldog Rubble, Christian Corrao is the new Dalmation Marshall, and Nylan Parthipan is the new voice of the aquatically-inclined lab Zuma. Finally, it seems like Ryder, the human boy who leads the Patrol in the TV series, has a smaller role in this movie. He's voiced by Finn Lee-Epp. He replaces previous actors Kai Harris (from the series) and Will Brisbin (from the previous movie).
