JOSEE, THE TIGER AND THE FISH is about a young college student named Tsuneo who is hired to care for Josee, a young artist and dreamer. Josee is wheelchair-bound but has unbounded goals and imagination. Their relationship starts out rocky, but over time their mutual affection grows into something beautiful. Who Is in Josee, the Tiger and the Fish?
Because the film will come out in America in both subtitled and dubbed formats, JOSEE, THE TIGER AND THE FISH boasts not one but two voice casts. For the Japanese version, Taishi Nakagawa plays Tsuneo while Kaya Kiyohara plays Josee. For the English dub, those parts are played by Howard Wang and Suzie Yeung.
Who Made Josee, the Tiger and the Fish?
The film was directed by Kotaro Tamura. Its script was written by Sayaka Kuwamura, based on the short story by Seiko Tanabe. Character designs were done by Nao Emoto, who also made a tie-in comic for the film. The film’s animation was created by Bones Inc.
