Jackass Forever: Everything You Need to Know
1/11/2022 • 4 min read
The boys are back in town for one last rodeo. Over a decade after JACKASS 3D landed in theaters, Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the Jackass prankster crew are teaming up one final time before their hang up their puke-covered boots for good. And while we’re excited to see the gang get back together, it’s a bittersweet reunion. Everyone gets older and, sadly, Johnny Knoxville can’t keep taking crotch shots for the rest of his life.
Thankfully, from what we can tell, it seems like the JACKASS guys have every intention to go out with a bang. Thus, when the film finally releases later this winter, it will certainly make their last hurrah a memorable one. From insane new stunts and pranks to exciting guest stars and backstage drama, here’s everything we already know about the fourth and final JACKASS movie.
The Jackass Forever Release Date
JACKASS FOREVER is set for a theatrical release date of February 4.

Bulls, bears, and blowtorches. A final trailer for JACKASS FOREVER was released on January 10, and it’s only making us more excited to finally get a look at the insane finished product. Developing from the first trailer which arrived last summer, this new trailer gives us a better look at a few more pranks and wild scenarios that members of the JACKASS crew will set into motion.
Volleyballs to the dome, exploding porta-potties, a telephone pole mishap, and an old man catching aflame are in store for audiences when JACKASS FOREVER is finally unleashed on the world. As noted by cast member Wee Man in an interview with The Nine Club podcast, this was the JACKASS movie that "hurt the most." We can only imagine what that entails!
Should You Eat Before (or During) Jackass Forever?
This is a decision everyone has to make for themselves. How do you feel about a game where two men are trying to keep spiders out of bubble helmets that completely cover their heads? Maybe the pleasant crunch of popcorn will take your mind off some of the more horrifying bits?
Filming Jackass Forever During COVID-19
Though originally intended to be shot on different locations globally, this plan was scrapped because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with production being initially shut down after only one week of filming. Thus, the majority of JACKASS FOREVER was filmed during COVID. In fact, according to Wee Man, the film’s studio, Paramount Pictures, used the production of JACKASS FOREVER to gauge how other studios could go back to filming during the pandemic. Testing of cast and crewmembers was required every day during production, which managed to rack up a cost of over one million dollars, according to the film’s director, Jeff Tremaine.
Of course, staying safe from COVID-19 didn’t mean that the cast of JACKASS FOREVER was safe from everything. On-set injuries included a broken wrist on professional skateboarder Aaron “Jaws” Homoki, and both Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville were hospitalized.
The Jackass Forever Cast
Longtime fans of the films and the MTV series will be delighted to see an array of familiar faces in JACKASS FOREVER. The crew’s original members Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Wee Man, Preston Lacy, Christ Pontius, Dave England, and Danger Ehren will all be returning.
