HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SAGA - CHAPTER 1 is, as the title suggests, the first chapter in an ambitious story set in a pivotal era for the American West. Writer, director and star Kevin Costner has been working on this story for decades, and the story is epic enough to match the time it took to create it.
Costner's movie turns on the town of Horizon, founded just before the Civil War. The people who created the town, and who pass through it — sometimes violently — are numerous enough that Costner assembled one of the biggest casts we've seen in a long time to play the full breadth of American and Native characters.
We talked to Costner, Sam Worthington, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Abby Lee, Sienna Miller and Jamie Campbell Bower about the process of crating Costner's massive undertaking, and about briefly living the life of the Old West.
