In THE BEEKEEPER, Jason Statham stars as a retired former operative for a special peacekeeping unit called the "Beekeepers" — and in his retirement he has become a beekeeper for real. When his neighbor dies after being scammed, Statham's character seeks revenge — and he finds a surprisingly sprawling organization partially headed up by a maniacal man played by Josh Hutcherson.
Hutcherson isn't known for his villainous roles — he's more often seen as the affable, resourceful and well-intentioned lead, as in last fall's FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY's. We talk to Hutcherson about the differences in his BEEKEEPER role, and we put some questions to director David Ayer (SUICIDE SQUAD, FURY) as well.
