Zombieland: Double Tap Red Carpet

Cinemark Hits the Zombieland: Double Tap Red Carpet

(10/18/2019)

Ten years after the release of ZOMBIELAND, Sony Pictures finally unveiled the sequel, ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP at the Regency Theatre in Westwood, CA. The film reunites audiences with four veteran zombie-dodgers, played by Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin, as they navigate new dangers in a changed world. We went to the premiere to speak to the filmmakers and stars of this horror-infused black comedy.

"I don't know how to have more fun while doing work," laughed star Woody Harrelson, whose character, Tallahassee, doesn't seem to have mellowed in the past decade. "I feel really blessed to be a part of it."

"The only way we wanted to come back to do another one was if it had the spirit of the original," said star Emma Stone, who went on to huge success after her appearance in 2009's ZOMBIELAND. That spirit is a little bit different from other horror films, and other comedies. Jesse Eisenberg, who plays the neurotic Columbus, reflected that "this kind of comedy is unusual, in that it allows for high-brow comedy even though we're being chased by zombies and people are throwing up."

"I hope [audiences] just have fun and laugh," said Stone, "and they feel like they're escaping this crazy world for a little while." Check out our experience on the ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP red carpet:
