How to Register for Esports at Cinemark

4/1/2022 • 3 min read

At Cinemark, we're always looking for ways to give guests new big-screen experiences. Now we have partnered with Mission Control to create an Esports league, so that movie fans can play competitive video games both at home and at the big screen.

Our next big events kick off in April 2022, so you might want to know how to register for Esports leagues at Cinemark! The good news is that it's an easy process that is just a few clicks away.

Registering for Esports at Cinemark

The first step is to download the Mission Control app for your smartphone — iOS and Android versions are supported. With the app installed, create or log in to your Mission Control account and search for the Cinemark organization. From there, just join the Cinemark Esports organization, and you'll be able to see all of our upcoming events.

Esports Registration Fees

The big question is: Does registration require a fee? It does, and it's a flat fee of $15 per game, per event. The Cinemark Organization page in the Mission Control app will list all available games and events per season.

What Else Do I Need to Know About Cinemark Esports Leagues?

For any video game you end up playing, the actual gameplay will take place on the specific platform (or platforms) on which the game is available. In other words, you don't actually play on or through the Mission Control app — Mission Control organizes leagues and info and tracks scores. It is not a gaming platform. Oh, and if you plan to play a game which requires a subscription in order to play competitively online, such as PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live, you'll have to set that up on your own as well.

Most of these requirements are all things that gamers will have set up already, so all that's left to do is get your game on!
