Fans of romance and Celine Dion, this one’s for you: LOVE AGAIN is a new romantic comedy-drama about love, loss, and finding love all over again. Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan, and Celine Dion herself, the rom-com-dram (not sure if that's a real term — we just made it up) is certain to leave you feeling warm, fuzzy, and just a little (or a lot) misty-eyed.

If love stories are your thing, keep reading to learn more about this charming new movie—and what Celine Dion has to do with it. We've also got the first trailer!

The Love Story

Part rom-com, part romantic drama, LOVE AGAIN tells the story of a not-entirely-chance encounter between Mira (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) and Rob (Sam Heughan). When we meet Mira, she is overcome with grief following the death of her fiance. In an effort to cope with her loss, Mira starts sending text messages to her fiance’s cell phone number. As it turns out, that number now belongs to a journalist named Rob, who quickly becomes enamored with Mira’s beautiful, heartfelt texts.

Rob subsequently finds himself in an uncertain situation: He’s developed a strong connection with Mira even though her love notes were meant for someone else. Should he pursue her? What if she’s not ready to love again? Fate intervenes when Rob is sent to interview Celine Dion and decides to ask the singing superstar for her help.

The Stars

Leading the cast of LOVE AGAIN are Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan as Mira and Rob. After making a splash on the TV series “Quantico,” Chopra Jonas starred in the BAYWATCH movie and in the recent MATRIX sequel, THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS. As for Heughan, he’s already kind of a big deal among romance fans thanks to his role in the time-hopping epic romance series “Outlander.”

Playing Mira’s dearly departed fiance is Russell Tovey, an English actor known primarily for his roles on the small screen in “Being Human,” “Looking,” and, most recently, “American Horror Story: NYC.” Rounding out the cast of LOVE AGAIN are Celia Imrie (“Better Things”), Lydia West (“It’s a Sin”), and Steve Oram (star and co-writer of the dark comedy SIGHTSEERS).

And then there’s Celine Dion playing the pivotal role of… herself.

The Celine of It All

Celine Dion’s love ballads have been featured on the soundtracks to some of the most iconic romance movies, so it’s about time that the singer herself actually starred in one of her own. In fact, LOVE AGAIN was once titled IT’S ALL COMING BACK TO ME—a reference to Dion’s famous song, “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.” Here’s another piece of music trivia: Dion’s version was actually a cover of a love ballad originally performed by Meat Loaf, the late singer of classics like “I’d Do Anything for Love” and “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.” (If you’re under 30, you might want to ask your parents or the internet about it.)

LOVE AGAIN marks Dion’s first time appearing in a feature film. The best-selling Canadian recording artist of all time (and best-selling French-language recording artist) has appeared on many soundtracks, including—most famously—that of the 1997 blockbuster TITANIC, for which she performed the multi-award-winning song “My Heart Will Go On.” Dion’s ballads have also been included in the soundtracks to UP CLOSE & PERSONAL, SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE, and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (both the 1991 animated film and the 2017 live-action version!).

Acting should come naturally to Dion, whose fans love her charming and humorous banter between songs while performing on stage. Not that her sense of humor is surprising—her TV appearances are always a delight (her “Carpool Karaoke” appearance is a blast), and she doesn’t shy away from laughing at herself. Dion even recorded an original song and music video for DEADPOOL 2.

LOVE AGAIN opens on May 5.
