New Female-Led Action Movies

Women rule on the big screen this year! Gal Gadot and Scarlett Johansson reprise their superhero roles in two new standalone movies. Meanwhile, Emily Blunt squares off against vicious monsters and Milla Jovovich dives into her latest blockbuster video game adaptation.
Here are four new female-led action movies coming to Cinemark Theatres in the next 12 months.
Wonder Woman 1984

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big-screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah. WONDER WOMAN 1984 is the follow-up to the DC Super Hero’s first outing, 2017’s record-breaking WONDER WOMAN. Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright returns to play Antiope, and Connie Nielsen is back as Hippolyta — and the movie features Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah and Pedro Pascal as Max Lord.

Want a dose of horror mixed in with the action? A QUIET PLACE PART II has you covered. Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
Black Widow

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller, Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. Directed by Cate Shortland, BLACK WIDOW is the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Monster Hunter
